Manager/Owner

Hi, my name is Kiel, and I am the Manager/Owner of Sarasota Veterinary Services. I am a true Floridian, born in Pensacola and raised in Bradenton from the age of four.

Personal Hobbies and Interests

In my spare time I enjoy being a father to my daughter, Eden, and you can most often find us out on the water, enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. I am a die-hard Alabama Football fan, as you can see from the decorations that adorn my office. My daughter and I live with our two dogs, Carl and Nicky, and two cats, Squirt and Allie-Bama.

Why I Chose This Profession

I started out in veterinary medicine at the age of fifteen, working as a Kennel Technician at an animal clinic in Bradenton. Becoming a partner in a veterinary practice has always been my dream, so when the opportunity arose to partner with Dr. Wilson and Dr. Nic, I was excited to build their dream, Sarasota Veterinary Services.

Education

I graduated from Manatee High School in 2003, and later earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the University of South Florida.

Professional Background

After being Honorably Discharged from the U.S. Army in 2012, I moved back to Bradenton to pursue my degree, and while attending USF I honed my veterinary knowledge and skills working at Veterinary Emergency Hospitals in Bradenton and Sarasota and at the Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center's Veterinary Services. After completing my degree I went on to become a Veterinary Hospital Manager, Veterinary Hospital Administrator, Veterinary Training Manager, and Director of Operations of a large non-profit veterinary practice.

Work History

After graduating high school I joined the U.S. Army, where I was part of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps for ten years. I supported Military Veterinary Facilities around the world in places like Japan, Egypt, Israel, and Cuba, as well as around the United States. These facilities cared for Military Working Dogs and the pets of the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen who lived on the bases and in surrounding areas.
